You inspired every single person in the room and made each of our images look professional and radiant.

I seldom treat myself to a workshop, but I knew from first meeting you that your workshop was not to be missed. You gave me a whole new way of looking at my photography and widened my vision of what is possible for me to create. You were very generous in sharing your expertise that you had earned over the past 18 years and were very patient with my questions, even though my knowledge of Photoshop was much less than the others in the workshop. You inspired every single person in the room and made each of our images look professional and radiant. As a result of your teaching, I am already committing myself to a new way of working with my images and am excited at the possibilities that await me. Thanks so much for your pioneer spirit and generosity. It is no wonder that your original press from the early days of Nash Editions is in the Smithsonian

I came away with little tidbits that alone were worth the whole workshop, big moments of possibilities, and a new appreciation for how much photography has changed in the digital age...

Thank you SO much for the SOPF workshop you led yesterday.  It was a long day for you -- and you had to be "on" all day long -- and you gave each of us so much. Thank you!  In addition to the workflow techniques and major meaty info you shared with us, I came away with little tidbits that alone were worth the whole workshop, big moments of possibilities, and a new appreciation for how much photography has changed in the digital age...and how much I need to change  I shot film from the 1980s and still have my film cameras, though I use them less and less.  I bought my first digital SLR about 1-1/2 to 2 years ago.  There is SO much to learn!!  The biggest thing I took away from yesterday, Mac, is that I need a huge attitude shift.  I LOVE digital capture but resist and avoid time in front of the computer -- I just hate every minute I spend in front of the computer, as if it's taking me away from my real work.  I can see after yesterday that I really need to change that attitude -- that being in front of the computer IS my real work, or at least a big part of it, and I need to get to a peaceful place with that if I am to continue.  So thanks for the information, the inspiration and the ah-ha.

Your presentation and the content was a real eye opener for me.

Your presentation and the content was a real eye opener for me. It made me see how I have either been doing the wrong thing, or worse, not doing anything for the past 8 years. I printed out the info you provided us and plan to make it a part of my regular workflow. I can promise you that I will NOT go back to my old way of working.

Again, I appreciate your artistic sensibility. Your ways are gentle, but meaningful.

Thanks again for the amazing workshop!

Thanks again for the amazing workshop!  I don't attend too many workshops because I generally enjoy the challenge of teaching myself and learning through the kindness of others, as you put it.  However, your workshop was by far the most enlightening, energizing and useful 8 hours I have ever spent improving my digital photography work flow, either in a workshop or on my own.  As a full time nature and landscape photographer I spend a vast amount of my days digitally processing images, reading about how to digitally process images or talking with other photographers about digitally processing images.  I came away from your workshop with many new techniques, better ways to use the techniques I already had, and most importantly, a structure for organizing my work flow for optimum efficiency, control, quality and creativity.
